Christina Aguilera and Matthew Rutler have "no plans" to get married after an 8-year engagement. Reason? Very simple. They don't need a document to prove their love.
An insider says "they're happy the way they are" and aren't even considering marriage.
The "Beautiful" singer, 41, and the guitarist, 37, met on the set of the 2010 movie "Burlesque." The musical drama premiered while Aguilera was in the midst of a divorce from ex-husband Jordan Bratman, with with whom she has a son, Max, now 14.
The pair got engaged on Valentine's Day in 2014 and they welcomed their daughter, Summer Rain, in August of that year.
In 2015, the singer said:
"Our love is so sure that we don't need a wedding to prove our commitment. At the moment we are enjoying our daughter, family and work."
Seven years later, that view remains the same.
