Zac Efron reveals he suffers from agoraphobia

In the October issue of Men's Health magazine, actor Zac Efron got candid about his health.

"I just don't go out," the "Baywatch" star said. "People in large groups 'tease' my agoraphobia."

Agoraphobia is an anxiety disorder characterized by fear of places and situations that can cause panic, helplessness, or embarrassment. This phobia is related to situations where escape may be difficult or where help would not be available if things go wrong. Many people assume that agoraphobia is simply a fear of open spaces, but it is actually a more complex condition. Someone with agoraphobia may be afraid of: traveling on public transport, leaving the house, crowds, etc.

Among other things, Efron also talked about the rigorous training to have the body he presented in the 2017 movie, "Baywatch."

"I started having insomnia and fell into a bad depression, for a long time," he said. "It took me a long time to recover."
