Another experience will be added to Tom Hardy's CV. Now, the successful star will also write about being a champion in martial arts.
The 45-year-old actor won the gold medal in martial arts at the 2022 UMAC Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Open Championship.
Attendees and fellow competitors were stunned when Hardy appeared at the tournament held in Milton Keynes, England.
"I was really excited and impressed because he told me in one championship that 'I'm coming to the next one' and he kept his word," said referee Mohamad Itoumaine. "It's very difficult to get a famous person to come to a competition local because their schedules are very busy".
Photos posted on social media show a victorious Hardy holding his certificate made with his real name "Edward Hardy". He now has a blue belt.
"It takes dedication and hard work to get to that level. He is technically, physically and mentally capable. He is someone who wants to win in the best possible way, which makes his opponent submit and give up. ," Itoumaine added.
