In an autobiography by Geena Davis, Dying of Politeness, she revealed some unpleasant stories about her time working with Bill Murray in the 90s.
According to Variety, Davis said in her book that she first met Murray in a hotel room, where he greeted her with a massage device called "The Thumper."
He insisted on using the device on her, despite her refusal.
Later, on the set of their 1990 film Quick Change, Murray yelled at Davis to hundreds of crew members.
"The way he behaved on the first date ... I should have left immediately or protected myself and, in that case, I wouldn't have gotten the part. I could have avoided that treatment if I knew how to react. or what to do. But, you know, I was so non-confrontational that I didn't..." Davis said of the incident.
According to Variety via People, Davis wrote about the massage device:
"I said no many times, but he wouldn't back down. I'd have to yell at him and make a scene if I got him to give up his efforts. The other men in the room did nothing for them prohibited."
This is not the first time Murray has been accused of misconduct on set.
As noted by Variety, Charlie's Angels star Lucy Liu discussed her negative experience with Murray in 2021. She claims she was unacceptably insulted.
Recently, Murray was also suspended from the film "Being Mortal", while there have also been allegations of sexual assault.
