On the web, it seems that the drink that is said to "make you weak": Lemon water and baking soda is circulating.
Nutritionists say that drinking lemon water with a small amount of dissolved baking soda can help with mild heartburn symptoms, but this is not the same for everyone. Experts prohibit long-term use of the drink categorically.
"It is important not to immediately join such trends without first consulting your doctor."
Lemon water may seem like the "perfect detox drink," but it's actually more likely to give you some serious stomach problems. Why not try a safer option like plain or sparkling water?!
The citric acid in lemon water has its benefits, but it does have some drawbacks. Especially for people with sensitive stomachs, this juice can make your diarrhea worse, while the combination of lemon water + baking soda also damages your tooth enamel.
That being said, you are not making a fatal mistake if you occasionally combine water with lemon, but do not consume it regularly, especially when you have not consulted a doctor first!
