Måneskin's Damiano David said he was "very sorry" for the video of him kissing a mystery girl, as he confirmed his split from his girlfriend of many years.

In a viral video on TikTok, Damiano was seen kissing a girl in a nightclub.

In a statement shared on his Instagram, the 24-year-old apologized for the confusion caused by the clip while confirming that he and Giorgia Soleri had split.

"I'm so sorry this video came out, it wasn't the way I wanted to handle the situation and it was my mistake," he wrote.

He clarified that there had been "no cheating whatsoever" and asked fans to "respect" the "delicate" nature of the moment.

His ex-girlfriend, Giorgia, posted a photo of them just last month, leaving fans confused.
