The nominations for the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards are officially out — and Taylor Swift and SZA top the list.

A year after making history at the VMAs as the only artist to win Video of the Year three times, Swift returns this year with 8 nominations, which puts her in first place.

She is followed by SZA with six nominations. Other artists such as Doja Cat, Olivia Rodrigo, Nicki Minaj, Miley Cyrus and Sam Smith have five nominations, while Blackpink and Shakira have four.

The MTV VMA 2023 winners will be announced on September 13th at our local time.
