Does artichoke water help with flatulence?
Artichoke water acts as an anti-bloating remedy. "Cynarine extract from artichokes helps with flatulence as it stimulates the production of the bile hormone, which digests fat in the gut and absorbs vitamins from other foods," explains Megan Darlington, a dietitian in Los Angeles.
Two of the antioxidants found in artichokes (cynarin and silymarin) are linked to liver function, improving detoxification properties, removing toxins and relieving bloating.
