Linda Evangelista has made serious accusations against her ex-husband, Gérald Marie, saying that he physically abused the model, but was careful not to touch her face.
"He knew not to touch my face, not to touch the source of the money," said the 58-year-old star in the third episode of "The Super Models" on Apple TV+.

Evangelista married Marie in 1987, when she was 22 and he was 37. "I left when I was 27 and he left me after taking everything. But I was safe and won my freedom", Linda continued.
Evangelista added that the abusive relationship was not simple. "It's not a matter of just saying: 'I want a divorce.' It doesn't work that way," she explained.

Linda also mentioned the accusations made against the manager of "Elite Model Management" in 2020, where many women accused him of rape. Among them, Carré Otis, Mickey Rourke's ex-wife. Marie was accused of raping more than 15 women.

"When I found out that he had hurt many, many, many women, violated them... my heart broke," she said tearfully. "Thanks to their strength, these women move forward. Blessed be, may God bless them! They gave me the courage to speak now."

She added that she would like justice to be served. "I would like justice to be served. I would like such tr*pa to think twice and be afraid and I would like women to know that they are not alone", said the supermodel.

Evangelista married French entrepreneur François-Henri Pinault in 2005. They gave birth to a son, Augustin James Evangelista, and divorced the same year. In 2009, the entrepreneur married Salma Hayek.
As for Marie, he told Page Six that he denies the allegations and that he has not committed even the slightest act of violence.
