Keke Palmer has filed for protection against ex-boyfriend Darius Jackson, accusing him of emotional and physical abuse. The 30-year-old actress filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles, where she also seeks full custody of her 8-month-old son, Leodis.
In court documents obtained by Page Six, Palmer claims she experienced multiple instances of physical violence from her ex, 29, including: destroying her private property; throwing her belongings on the street; throwing the keys to stop him from leaving; shooting in front of their son; threats to kill himself with a pistol if she left him; harassment and other emotional and physical abuse.
Although the pair broke up some time ago, the star of "Nope" said that the ex entered the house without her knowledge, then attacked her, hitting her and throwing her on the sofa. He snatched the phone from his hands when Keke threatened to call the police.
Palmer said that his violence stopped in October and said that during their relationship, which began in June 2021, there were such episodes.
“Our son, Leo, is the reason I ended my relationship with Darius and walked away from the abuse. Leo is the most important thing in the world to me; he needs and deserves to be safe and grow up in an environment without violence", said the actress.
They split in August 2023, but according to sources, remained on good terms.
