The saying "God is Albanian" in the stadium evokes different reactions

In last night's match between Albania and the Faroe Islands, which ended with the result 0-0, a banner with the expression "God is Albanian" appeared among the fans. Today, the saying quickly spread on social media to spark mixed reactions.

Some commentators spoke out against the statement, labeling the act a "blind nationality" and an overstatement, as God has no nationality.

"I believe that this banner did not have any symbolic interpretation, but it is an approach of a "blind nationality". We, as Albanians, are the harm of ourselves, because we do not think about things above us"; "There is no God but the Almighty"; "Yes, yes, according to us, God is Albanian and Skenderbeu is his messenger" someone wrote with irony; "We don't spare anyone and anything without doing their biography. Here, we also made the Albanian God"; "Nonsense"; "In the end we always screw it up"; "That's all we know, that's all we do" were some of the comments that think the saying is excessive.

Others have another approach: "Come on, it's very good!" Well done for the idea”; "Yes, they have it very well. You are exaggerating it in vain. They didn't have it for that "God" that you think, but to exalt the boys of the national team"; "There is nothing wrong with me"; "Don't associate everything with religion. "The fans may have had it in a symbolic sense, which means that we are the masters of the match," were some of the other comments.
