Timo Flloko (April 26, 1948) is among the best Albanian artists and poets and, without a doubt, one of the people who has made an extraordinary contribution to our country, so we think we should tell you some facts that you probably didn't know about him. .
His origin - Timo Flloko was born in Peja, where he lived until he was 8 years old. His family is originally from Gjirokastra. Timo grew up in Vlora, where he completed high school. He moved to the coastal city, as his father was among the best doctors, graduated from the Sorbonne.
Part of the cinema by chance – Timo liked numbers and wanted to go to school for economics, but quite by chance he entered the world of cinema, to become one of the most popular actors in the country.
In love with a drama - Timo Flloko, when he was a child, saw his first drama, "View from the Bridge", directed by Pirro Mani, in the theater of Vlora. 40 years later, he starred in this drama as Eddie Carbone, the Italian who made his way to the American dream.
First role – Timo's first role was in the movie "Ngadënjim sur daratan" with directors Gëzim Erebara and Piro Milkani. He played the role of Fatos and was noted for his unique portrayal and acting talent.
For a year he was banned by the communist regime – Timo, like many other artists, was banned for banal reasons from continuing his career with a cinema. The ban lasted for 1 year, because his uncle, who was also a well-known doctor, was convicted.
His role as Çerçiz Topulli brought him back to the cinema - It would be the film "Freedom and Death", directed by Kristan Mitro and Ibrahim Muçaj, that brought Timo back to the cinema. He played the role of Çerçiz Topulli, at the request of the directors, who thought that Timo was perfect for this role. Actually, they were right.
A love like that of Timo and Vera - He and Vera met at the Academy of Arts, where Timo was a teacher and Vera a student. Timo, in an interview for "Opinion", told about their acquaintance: "I met him at school, that's why I say coincidence... this must be understood that if I had not been appointed in Tirana, that I could have been appointed in Vlora, I would have known this young lady [once] or lady today. I met her in the school benches, she was my student," said Flloko about the time when he was appointed a lecturer at the Academy of Arts, where Grabocka was studying directing.
Fascinating poet – Timo Flloko, apart from being a fantastic actor, is also a fascinating poet. He has written a series of poems, which he read in Butrint, in an extraordinary performance, accompanied by the music of well-known Albanian singers. On December 1, the performance will be broadcast on TV Klan.

"Equinox '83"

Equinox '83.
March.
In the clear sky a cloud.
Alone, a cloud...
Order away,
to you, there.
Once, you had a foggy dream,
a cloud had entered it, suspended it.
How many times you saw dreams at night,
blue, white, scary, heavy,
among them, in strange forms,
mysteries entered.
Anonymous,
superstitious rites,
in twisted,
vicious circles,
steeped in despair.
Life… an order.
M arramendj e.
Equinox.
March 21.
Oasis time…
Eager springs,
sunny southern beaches,
late autumns,
cold northern winters.
Tears from the waterfalls of the eyes
on the chest fell like a cataract,
the hand of the magical Saint Mary
passed over your portrait that night.
Delay - the anxiety of waiting,
the anxious touch of hands under the coat,
the circles of bruises under the eyes,
the whistle of a train in the distance,
moments of flight, with grimaces of invisible
pain in the soul, with the constant doubt of love, the promise of return and the fear of secrecy. Suspense like in an early film, black and white...! Dear Ve(ne)ra, the cloud disappeared from the sky, the wind blew. Dear, this time I come to you, forever, from the equivalent distance between us, in the day equal to the night, from the time when we were so far and so infinitely close. Love is lost in the distance, if it does not reach the end. Equinox… March. With time after
