According to the Annual Worldwide Cost of Living Index, which is published by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), the average cost of living increased by 7.4% this year.
Although the figure is slightly lower than the 8.1% increase the same survey recorded in 2022, the numbers remain significantly higher than trends over the years.
The World Cost of Living 2023 surveyed 173 major cities, comparing more than 400 prices on 200 products and services.
