According to researchers, apps and websites that use artificial intelligence to "undress" women in photos are being used en masse.
In September alone, 24 million people visited these websites, according to social media analytics company Graphika.
According to Graphika, many of these platforms use popular social networks for marketing. The services use artificial intelligence to recreate an image where a person appears naked, even though the photo is fake. Many of them only work for women.
These apps are part of a disturbing trend of pornography that is being developed and distributed due to advances in artificial intelligence.
Victims of these abuses may never learn what really happened to their photos, or have difficulty pursuing the matter through legal channels.
