Their marriage has been in the media's focus many times, after all the details that have been revealed, from suspected betrayals, to sleeping apart for seven years, etc. We're talking about Jada Pinkett and Will Smith. Jada says Will's infamous slap at the Oscars last year seems to have saved their marriage.
"After all those years of trying to figure out if I should leave him, it took that slap to see that I would never leave him," she said in an interview with the Daily Mail.
"Who knows where our relationship would be if this hadn't happened?" she continued.
The Red Table Talk Show host has been married to the I am Legend star since 1997, but revealed in October that the two had quietly split and been sleeping apart for seven years.
However, Pinkett Smith recalled how everything changed that night in Los Angeles after her husband slapped comedian Chris Rock on stage after the latter joked about Pinkett's alopecia.
"I call it the 'holy slap,' because so many positive things came after it," she said.
