There is a strong debate on this topic, whether the TV belongs in the bedroom or should be removed to avoid bedtime conflicts between couples.
Amanda Gibby Peters, a manager of an interior design company, gives several reasons related to both the part of the furniture in the bedroom, as well as to health in general.
The question of whether a TV should stay in the bedroom has no right or wrong answer. As with all bedroom ideas, this is a personal choice. But most design experts don't approve of the idea of ??keeping a TV in the bedroom for reasons of general well-being.
"First, we have to consider the main purpose of bedrooms. We use calming colors and neat designs because we consider it a space where we rest and recharge for the next day, and a TV doesn't help with that mission,” says Hannah Yang, practitioner of Feng Shui (a pseudoscience originating in China, which uses energetic forces to harmonize individuals with the surrounding environment).
Experts are of the opinion that most electronic devices are items that should never be placed in a bedroom, because they create a cluttered aesthetic that does not bring peace at all.
Studies show that a good night's sleep is necessary for better health, so all electronic devices such as tablets, smartphones and computers should not be in the bedroom, as blue light affects the quality of sleep.
"Blue light from screens, including television, can interfere with our circadian rhythms, biological clocks and overall health. Screens can also cause anxiety,” adds Yang.
According to furnishing professionals, not only from an aesthetic point of view, but also from a health point of view, the TV and any other equipment in the bedroom are an alarming risk for the mental and physical state, in that space that is claimed to be the temple of relaxation and tranquility.
