Today, she proudly stands at over 180 centimeters tall, but it seems that wasn't always the case. Nicole Kidman recalled in an interview for "The Radio Times Podcast" that at the beginning of acting she was told that she could never have a career as an artist, as it was too long.
Nicole reached a height of almost 170 centimeters when she was only 13 years old. "They called me a stork. Often people would say 'You are much taller than we thought'. At red carpet events, designers send me higher heels, and I have that question "Do they have mini heels?" I'll be the tallest man, the giraffe, then!”
The actress said that she had to lie about her height on several occasions, while she remembers an episode during the auditions for the role in the TV series "Five Mile Creek", where she plays the character Annie. "When they asked me about my height, I answered by walking through the corridors, because if they measured me before I went in, it would be a big problem," she said. "I was upset about that," Kidman said.
While she is very grateful for her health and the fact that she walks and lives the life she wants, Kidman says that she has had problems with her knees on quite a few occasions, precisely because of her height.
"I tell my girls that none of that stuff matters," Kidman said. "What matters is how you let other people tell you 'yes' or 'no' in many situations."
