Justin Timberlake released his song "Selfish", with the same title as Britney Spears' song, released in 2011. Of course, this did not escape the Internet, which did what it does best: Respond.
The internet decided to bring Brit's 13-year-old song back to the top of the charts, prompted by a tweet. One person joked, saying that "Britney will be releasing 'Seflish' on January 25th," bringing back her hit 'Selfish' from the album 'Femme Fatale' (2011).

The song was immediately positioned at the top of the list on iTunes, while "Selfish" by Justin Timberlake, the third.

The person who started this whole movement on X (formerly Twitter), in an interview with Entertainment Weekly said that it all started as a joke when Justin announced that he would release his first song, after 5 years. "Then we all got together and said that Britney Spears will come back with a "new" song. I still can't believe that it became so big and we can see the results", adding that they are all happy that the song is coming back after so many years.
Justin Timberlake is on the radar of Britney's fans, after the publication of her memoir "The Woman in Me", in which she confessed previously untold aspects of her relationship with Timberlake, the abortion and the betrayals they both committed towards each other.
