Furthermore, the participation of some women and girls characters who will have a decisive role in the course of events for the second season was accepted.
Screenwriter and creator Hwang Dong-hyuk has admitted that the second season will be exciting, but he has decided not to follow the course suggested by fans online.
"The protagonist is a new man at the end of the first season. Everything that will happen in the second season will be a natural flow of events based on the transformation of this person," he revealed.

Netflix has recently revealed that the second season will be released this year. In the published videos, Gi-hun is seen going out to the airport to seek revenge, and in some others, other actors are revealed.
The release date has not yet been announced.
