The phobia of not remaining single is called "Anuptaphobia". Also known as "Bridget Jones Syndrome", it consists of the irrational and persistent fear of being single or not having a romantic relationship.

Society is also responsible for creating this syndrome, which associates marriage with success and happiness. Making it necessarily difficult for anyone to think about life alone, defined by social standards.

But how can this fear be overcome and above all the unknown standards that society has set?

Psychologists emphasize that in order to overcome fear, you need to redefine the limits of success and personal satisfaction only in the way you will see yourself and the world.

Promoting and fostering self-confidence is the first step to focusing on growth on a personal level. It is important not to tie our happiness as individuals or our success to romantic relationships, or to the presence of another person in our lives.

However, it should not be forgotten that having healthy romantic relationships is important, but without individual and personal development, they are destined to fail.

When you feel you've reached the right level of self-fulfillment, you can encourage yourself to step out of your comfort zone for a new meeting or acquaintance, without discarding all the work you've done on yourself.
