The famous couple, Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher have revealed that they are divorcing after 14 years of marriage and more than 20 years together. The two actors broke the news after posting two identical images on their respective Instagram profiles on Friday evening.
"After a long game of tennis that lasted more than 20 years, we have decided to leave the rackets", the article begins, continuing to clarify the fact that the marriage is set to end in 2023.
"We have always valued privacy and remained silent while these changes took place. All our lives we will share our devotion to our children. Sincerely, we would greatly appreciate it if you would respect our family's need for privacy," the couple concluded the statement, next to the photo in tennis clothes.
Baron Cohen and Fisher met in 2001 and got engaged 3 years later. They became parents of a daughter in 2007. In 2010, they got married in Paris and then became parents of two more children.
This announcement came after Rebel Wilson's statements about bullying by the actor.
According to her statements, Baron Cohen has repeatedly asked her to appear nude in the film and she has not accepted, but this situation has made her feel disgusted, so she has dedicated an entire chapter in the book "Rebel Rising", which is expected to on sale from April 2.
The event has sparked online backlash about the long-discussed topic of inequality in Hollywood and beyond, with many girls and women being put in inappropriate situations in the workplace.
