There is a link between disordered eating and ADHD which affects your obsession with the same food for days on end. Biologically, the behavior stems from the brain's need for dopamine, which fuels feelings of desire to eat, says neuroscience professor Khalid Afzal.
But in people with ADHD, a hyperfixation represents a type of "dopamine malfunction." "Individuals are in a situation where they are constantly wanting to eat, but they are not actually fully satisfied," adds Afzal.
Hyperfixation can also be related to executive function issues, i.e. the need to make decisions and manage time properly. Sometimes, something like this becomes very challenging, especially in times of stress. Eating the same thing every day reduces executive energy or the need to make a decision. The foods people hyperobsess over tend to be the tastiest, like candy and junk, or packaged foods that don't need to be cooked.
It seems that there is nothing wrong with the idea of ??eating the same things every day, but a diet that is not rich and without a variety of products, especially for a long time, can be problematic, leading to nutritional deficiencies and eating disorders. .
Therefore, a moderate rate is needed for this approach as well, always if you have it!
