It's no secret that keeping the house clean, especially with pets, can be a challenge. Whether you have a husky playing on the carpet or a Persian cat snuggling on your favorite couch, some of the consequences of this cohabitation are their hair, mess, fleas, etc.

A vacuum cleaner is often the best choice because it cleans up any dust or debris that your pets bring in from outside, making the space cleaner and more hygienic.

But how often should you vacuum to clean the house?

Even without pets, as a general rule, cleaning experts suggest vacuuming your home at least once a week. But if you have pets, the situation is somewhat different:

Every 1-2 days

For owners of small puppies or long-haired cats, every two to three days is enough to clean the house.

Twice a week

Cleaning the house with this frequency keeps animal hair and allergens under control. This strikes the right balance between keeping your home clean and maintaining a cleaning routine.

Once a week

For a basic level of cleanliness, vacuuming once a week is a basic level of cleanliness, regardless of the number of pets you have or their breed. But if you're more obsessed with any dirt, cat or dog hair, vermin, or anything else, vacuuming should be done every other day.
