
As she approaches her 50s, the famous actress has no problem talking openly about her age and experiences at this stage of life.
As a special guest at the Telluride Film Festival 2024, Angelina Jolie spoke to "IndieWire", where in addition to the protagonist role that portrays the opera singer Maria Callas in the biographical film "Maria", the actress also spoke about personal experiences and the pains that every person goes through in life. .
"I am 49 years old now and I feel like an older woman. But, I have 'embraced' this fact," said the actress. "When I was younger, there were many moments that matched what I felt: falling in love, I was curious about everything, I went through different situations and all these have grown me enough," she added.
But, connecting the personal experience of age with the role in the movie "Maria", the famous actress added that with the passing of years and age, no "opera" or "piece of music" is the same.
"Some songs remain beautiful, full of hope and emotion. But it all depends on us how much we allow ourselves to feel each moment," Jolie emphasizes.

Jolie also spoke about Callas' character and her art of exploring pain in all its forms and dimensions.
"To discover, to really hear opera...it's such a complete feeling of being open and human. The whole history of tragedies she lived and acted out is so significant isn't it? Many people carry pain, emotions, but I tried to fully feel the tragedy of this woman to convey it in my role," concludes Jolie.
