During a conversation for the "Talk Easy with Sam Fragoso" podcast , actor Joaquin Phoenix spoke beyond his career as an artist and projects, also about the private aspect. At one point, he referred to Rooney as "my wife", fueling suspicions that he may have married his partner of many years.

While sharing how he prepared his 2020 Oscars speech, the actor revealed that he wrote the touching speech while "talking to his mom and his wife."

We remember that the couple met for the first time while working on the movie "Her", while they created a relationship as a couple during the filming of the movie "Mary Magdalene" a few years later. They got engaged in 2019.

"She's the only girl I've ever looked up on the Internet," Phoenix said of Rooney in an interview with Vanity Fair. "We were just friends, virtual friends. I had never done that. I have never looked for a girl online.”

In 2020, they became parents for the first time to a son, whom the famous actor named after his late brother River Phoenix, who died of a drug overdose at the age of 23.

The famous couple revealed they were expecting their second child in February this year, when she appeared with a round belly at the 74th edition of the Berlinale International Film Festival in Germany.
