Andrew Garfield talks about the loss of his mother: "It has changed me a

Andrew Garfield said in an interview that his worldview completely changed after he lost his mother, Lynn, to pancreatic cancer in 2019. This event caused the actor to stop his career at its peak, having just starred in the film of 2021, "Spider-Man: No Way Home".

"I was in a phase of change, I was experiencing a lot, feeling a lot, changing my relationship with the world," he told 'Town & Country' magazine.

“Maybe I was too young to have a midlife crisis, but there was something about losing my mother, having achieved a certain amount of success that I wanted to achieve in my work, that I didn't feel fulfilled. I thought, 'What's going to happen now? Who am I? What does it matter? What's missing?'”

Garfield also stated that he had difficulty regaining the desire to work after the loss of his mother.

"A lot of my ambitions died at some point, or died to be reborn in another way," he explained.

Then came the script for the movie We Live in Time, which will be released in January 2025, and Garfield felt the stars aligned for him. He confessed that in addition to believing that the role would form part of the process he was going through in life, he also hoped that his recovery would also be felt by the public.

"I feel like I'm in the middle of life right now. I am 41 years old. And I feel that time is passing. I feel it more than ever. It's a daily practice to take advantage of every moment we have here, because yes, it's urgent," said the actor.
