Megan Thee Stallion has spoken about the relationship with Tory Lanez, recalling an uncomfortable moment during an interview in 2020.

The rapper has criticized journalist Gayle King for questioning her about hints that Megan had a sexual relationship with Tory Lanez before he shot her in the leg after a party at Kylie Jenner's house.

"That's not why I'm here. Even if I had a relationship with him [Tory Lanez]," said Megan in the interview, clearly touched by the question.

Although the Grammy winner later admitted that she had indeed had sex with Tory "like once, maybe twice in one drunken night," she admitted that she lied during the conversation to avoid discussing a topic that thought it was irrelevant to the July 2020 incident.

"Yes, I lied to Gayle King," Megan explained. "First of all, I didn't know he was going to ask me that stupid thing. I thought we were going to talk about my physical and emotional hurt."

"A lot of people didn't treat me like I was human for a long time," Megan told Women's Health in an interview in April.

“I feel like everyone was always used to me being the fun, happy party girl. I watched people use me, tear me down, and then be surprised at my expectations of them."

In April 2022, Megan gave an interview with Gayle to provide details about her incident with the rapper, who was found guilty in December 2022 of three felony charges, including negligently discharging a firearm, shooting standing Megan Thee Stallion. Tory was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
