Chris Martin still feels the spark with Dakota Johnson.

While the couple has been at the center of breakup rumors for the past year, the Coldplay singer has apparently confirmed that he and the Fifty Shades of Gray star are *very much* together; although they still hope to keep their romance out of the spotlight.

“It's important to say that [romantic love] is such a big factor in everything,” Chris explained to Rolling Stone in an interview published Dec. 19, “although it's fair to keep it precious and private; I'm not denying its power."

While Chris and Dakota have been quietly dating for years after meeting in 2017, multiple outlets reported in March that the couple had actually been engaged years earlier, though neither party confirmed the engagement at the time.

It was then reported in August that the two had ended their romance, however a rep confirmed at the time that the words were "not true", adding, "they are happy together".

In fact, a few days after the speculation began, Dakota was spotted stepping out in Malibu, California, with an emerald ring on her ring finger, the same one she wore in 2020.

The couple also wanted to keep their romance out of the spotlight as much as possible, partly because of Chris's family and Dakota's own experience growing up in Hollywood as the daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith.

Chris Martin has two children from his previous marriage to actress Gwyneth Paltrow, Apple and Moses, 19 and 17.
