Everything in the Universe, including you, is made up of energy. Although objects appear solid, on a microscopic level they vibrate - whether it's a stone, a tree, or your own body. The aura is the energy field that surrounds you, created by these vibrations. In Indian culture it is called pr??a, while in Eastern philosophies, it is called qi/chi.
Essentially, an aura is the invisible energy that reflects and influences your physical, emotional, and spiritual state. It's what people often describe as the "vibration" or "energy" that someone gives off. This explains why you feel comfortable around some people, while not so much around others.
The aura has three main functions:
1. Protection – Acts as a protective barrier between energy and the outside world, much like skin is for the physical body.
2. Storage – Its layers store information about your emotional, mental, and spiritual state, past experiences, and unresolved issues.
3. Interaction – It is like a filter that processes the energies, impressions, and information that come from outside.
A simple way to understand auras is to think about the energy that people radiate. Some make you feel nervous, others give you peace - that's how their aura affects you.
How does the aura work?
As human beings, we emit a low level of electricity, otherwise known as an electromagnetic field. This energy enters the body through the crown chakra (located at the top of the head) and is distributed through energy channels known as nadis (there are about 72,000 of them). These nadis branch into energy centers - known as chakras - which are like nodes on an energy highway. There are seven main chakras in the human body, although some believe that with the development of collective consciousness, more can be developed.
The aura is an energy system in its own right, but it is often overlooked. Many people are familiar with the functions of the chakras, such as the third eye chakra being associated with intuition, or the throat chakra with communication. But what most people don't know is that information is not received directly from the chakras, but from the aura.
The seven layers of the aura
The aura consists of seven layers, each with a color that corresponds to the corresponding chakra. These layers are:
1. Physical body – Everything that can be touched and seen.
2. Emotional body – Determines our emotional state.
3. Mental body – Connects with thoughts and logical processes.
4. Astral body – It is the layer where auras interact with the energies of others (including animals and plants).
5. Spiritual body – Connects to divine will and spiritual development.
6. Celestial body – The area where we experience the spiritual world.
7. True Self – Connects us to consciousness.
Interestingly, everything that manifests in the physical body first arises in the higher levels of the aura. For example, a person who has not expressed their thoughts throughout their life can create a blockage in the aura level, experiencing emotional burden. Over time, this can lead to physical problems such as throat diseases. Also, the chakras do not exist in the physical body, but within the auric field, so the crown and base chakras are outside the tangible body.
There are two ways to see an aura:
1. Kirlian Photography – A technique that uses high voltage to capture the energy field surrounding an object or living being.
2. Intuitive Seeing – Some highly sensitive people (psychics or intuitives) can “see” auras through visions in their minds. They can discern colors, textures, and patterns in someone’s aura and interpret information about their life.
The colors of the aura can match those of the chakras or be a unique blend for each person. However, it takes practice and patience to distinguish it.
