Nothing gives us the feeling of the start of a new season more than trying on shoes that are back in trend.
We're still a few months away from reviewing this summer's swimwear, but trying out a new pair of shoes doesn't seem like such a far-fetched scenario. So, we've rounded up the shoe trends for next season that we can't wait to wear.
See below how these key footwear trends are shaping up, via the spring/summer 2025 runways.
Mary Janes
Some of the most beautiful shoes of the spring/summer 2025 season come with straps at the bottom or ankle. These shoes come with a sophisticated, two-tone look that resembles the dress codes of the '60s.
Square-toe loafers
Loafers/Flats are a timeless wardrobe staple, a silhouette that transcends seasonality. However, in the last two seasons, we’ve seen the typical loafer with its rounded toe and low heel that Gucci originally launched. For winter shoe trends, the heel has been raised, recalling 1950s style, while for spring 2025, a sharper, more masculine shoe seems to be making an appearance.
Retro sneakers
Although retro sneakers have long appeared in one form or another on the catwalks and in street style, this season they seem to be “taking over”. From Dior to Miu Mu, many prominent designers are betting on sneakers with a nostalgic aesthetic and we believe that their popularity will grow even more in the coming months.
Cute heels for girls
The perfect heels for 2025 should have three characteristics: be easy to wear, functional, and have an elegant look.
Strappy sandals
Last but not least on this spring's shoe trend list are ankle strap sandals. We're not talking gladiator styles, but simply extensions of the straps of your typical spring sandals.
