She accused him of rape, the truth is revealed about the woman who sued Jay-Z

The woman who said she was 13 when Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter and Sean "Diddy" Combs sexually assaulted her after the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards is heard in a recording admitting that Jay-Z did not assault her and saying her lawyer pushed her to sue Jay-Z.

The woman's lawsuit against Jay-Z and P.Diddy has since been dropped and cannot be revived.

The recording, a fragment of which was obtained by ABC News, is between the woman, identified as Jane Doe, and two private investigators associated with Carter.

In the recording, the woman is heard telling investigators that her lawyer, Tony Buzbee, made her sue Jay-Z, which the lawyer later called a "blatant lie."

Jane Doe said in a statement that she stands by her claims and dropped the lawsuit due to "fear of retaliation from Jay-Z" and his fans. She also denied telling investigators that Buzbee sought her out as a client or that he encouraged her to file a false lawsuit against Jay-Z. She said she felt "frightened and terrified" when confronted on her doorstep by investigators who knew her name and address.

Spiro, Jay-Z's lawyer, said investigators who approached Jane Doe did not coerce or threaten her. "She met voluntarily, spoke with them and told them her truth."

Jay Z has countersued Jane Doe and Tony Buzbee for defamation, which they have so far denied.
