Cate Blanchett only has 1 photo from her wedding to Andrew Upton and it wasn't by her own free choice!
She began her interview with Drew Barrymore by calling it a "miracle" that she had remained married to the same person for 27 years and shared the unusual story of her wedding. The Australian actress revealed:
"When we got married we had absolutely no money. We couldn't afford a photographer and we hired two of our friends who were photographers. One guy got so drunk he forgot to load the film into his camera and the other guy had such a good time he didn't take any pictures and as a result, we don't have any photos from our wedding."
She then described the only wedding photo they have, which is "a blurry photo of the couple getting into the car."
Knowing that such a catastrophe would be devastating to any couple and any young bride in particular, Cate also shared her despair when she received the bad news:
"I was so sad, so upset, and I cried a lot at the time because we didn't have any photos."
However, today the actress said she had accepted reality and no longer felt bad about what happened as she "constantly tries to remember the evening."
The Oscar winner and her husband, also an artist, met years ago while she was playing a role in a production of Russian playwright Anton Chekhov.
Since then, they have given birth to 4 children and apparently have a very happy marriage.
