Ellen Pompeo doesn't let her young daughter watch "Grey's Anatomy."
The actress appeared on an episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" to talk about her upcoming series "Good American Family." During the interview, Pompeo and show host Jimmy Kimmel talked about the 20th anniversary of the premiere of "Grey's Anatomy."
The medical drama debuted in March 2005 and returned for its 21st season in September 2024. Over the past two decades, the series has gained a whole new fan base who are watching the series for the first time.
When the host asked Ellen Pompeo if any of her children were in this fan group, she replied:
"My 15-year-old daughter has seen it and now my 10-year-old daughter wants to see it, but she's not ready.
"Many children in her class have watched the series," she said.
Further, the actress revealed the reason why she does not allow her daughter to watch the series.
"Without wanting to judge other parents, I don't want my daughter to see me in my underwear on TV yet, but all her classmates have seen it, so... This will be a very good reason to start a conversation about those sequences."
