Ryan said he made his daughter tell a sexual joke and of course, people went

People have been left horrified after Ryan Reynolds admitted to making his 7-year-old daughter make a "gross and unnecessary" sexual joke in his 2024 film "Deadpool & Wolverine."

In the scene, the girl plays a little kid who is completely covered in a Deadpool mask, hood, and red pants. She yells at Ryan's character, "Hey, when I need your opinion, I'm going to rip your Wolverine dick out of your mouth," and Ryan admitted that the girl was uncomfortable saying that line at first.

Discussing the moment in the commentary, Ryan said ironically:

"I'm the father of the year who allowed her to use language like that, which she really didn't want to use. She came back later and said, 'I want to say it now,' when I started looking at other people to play that part."

People were shocked by Ryan's action and the fact that he openly admitted it with his mouth, which people said was terrible. "There's no reason she had to actually say that line. She's a character with a mask and no visible mouth, she could have easily been dubbed," said one commenter.

"I didn't think I'd ever find an excuse to use an AI voice, but here's one,"  someone else admitted, to which another user replied: "It doesn't even have to be AI, you can't see their faces through the mask, so just get a voice actor who can do a child's voice to say this."

"She's the same age as my child. I can't imagine any scenario that would make me do this to my child (or any child)," said another.

"Is it honestly that disgusting and violent?" Someone else agreed, and another pointed out:

"I wouldn't care if it was just a joke, but making a child make a sexual joke is serious."

"I don't care what the 'intent' was behind the joke - it's blatantly sexual and no child has any business saying that, let alone in a movie made by their parent,"  another noted.
