April 1st is called April Fools' Day, but not everyone remembers it, so they fall prey to hoaxes. These unfortunate people either suffered or made others suffer. We have compiled some of the most interesting stories of lies told on this day.

1. "I told my boss I wouldn't come to work (on April 1st) and when I went I found him with his girlfriend. I haven't lied since."

2. "I pranked my fiancé with a pregnancy test, probably positive, made with my own hands. He FaceTimed me crying with happiness while I told him I was going to abort him because I wasn't ready. I told him I was too young and hung up. After 20 minutes he came to my house with a cake, some balloons and very happy. Then I cried for an hour because I didn't know how to tell him I was joking. When he found out, we broke up for a good 3 hours because you can't joke about these things."

3.  "When I was a student, I called my mom and told her that there was a fire in the dormitory and to make the situation even more tragic, I told her that I was going in to save a girl who was screaming and burning inside. Then I hung up the phone. Thank God her heart didn't stop because I answered her an hour later. May God forgive me."

4.  "I pranked two guys on Instagram on April Fool's Day. They didn't know me and were asking to meet me (obviously for sex). I said yes to both of them, booked a hotel room, and gave them the address. I didn't go. They thought it was going to be a couples' date, but it turned out that way anyway, except it was just the two of them. I'm still obsessed with which one of them paid for the room."

5. The boss told us he would give us a raise.

6. They told me there was an earthquake. I alerted the house in vain.

7. He told me we were going to break up at one o'clock in the morning and after I cried, he called me and wished me a happy April Fool's Day.

8. A friend told me that she would jump off the building if I didn't go meet her.

9.   I lied to my neighbor, I told him that his son had been run over by a car. He almost died.

10. I was told that school would be postponed until the end of July.

11. My husband told me that he found out that he had a one-year-old child with someone else. We have been together for five years.

12. My cousin told me that another cousin who lives in Italy had come down with Covid-19 along with her baby.

13. That my dad died. It was the stupidest and most horrible lie.

14. I called my grandfather privately and told him I took money from your pension. He went crazy.

15. I told my mom that I broke up with my fiancé.

16. I told my boyfriend that I'm married.

17. I told my mom that my dad was cheating on her.

18. I told my sister I was pregnant. I sent her a photoshopped pregnancy test. She was overjoyed. I felt sorry for her, ha ha.
