The music market seems to have pitted Albanian artists against each other, who if they were side by side, would give a lot to art. Some artists have never collaborated, but if they did, they would create songs that would stand the test of time. We have prepared a list of some artists who should do a duet for the good of art.
1. Elvana Gjata and Dafina Zeqiri
Two iconic artists who have withstood the test of time and the evolution of the market. Dafina and Elvana belong to the same genre (pop) and are both widely considered to be music divas. However, the duo have not found a common language, as Dafina has repeatedly criticized Elvana. However, we hope that one day they will find not only a common language, but also a common song.
2. Flori Mumajesi and Alban Skenderaj
There is only one thing that can be said for sure about this collaboration: Expectations are much higher than one might imagine. Two of the best singer-songwriters in Albania could create a musical masterpiece, fulfilling the constant demand of the public for a collaboration between them. Flori Mumajesi and Alban Skënderaj have known how to adapt to the market, but without giving up the originality that distinguishes them from others. Both have created extraordinary songs, so together they could bring a duet that would not be easily forgotten.
3. Tayna and Melinda
Known for their dissings between them, Tayna and Melinda have managed to make the public their own in a very difficult current for girls. After Rina's withdrawal, it seems that the "beef" developed only between Tayna and Melinda, whose collaboration would be iconic. The two rappers, who write their own lyrics, could bring the public a song different from what we are used to seeing. Unity makes girls powerful!
4. Leonora Jakupi and Adelina Ismajli
Two extraordinary voices and a repertoire to admire. The public loves them, but Leonora and Adelina, let's say, don't really like each other. The duet, beyond the beautiful song, would also bring the end of a conflict that has accompanied the two singers for years. Time to raise the white flag!
5. Getoar Selimi and Noizy
There was a time when we all eagerly awaited how “Babastars” and “OTR” would respond to each other in the next verses. Time passed, we grew up and Getoari became a father. Both he and Noizy seem to have left their conflicting past behind. Just like with Stresin, a collaboration between Noizy and Getoari would become an instant hit.
6. Armend Rexhepagiqi and Ardit Gjebrea
I have to say: this would be my favorite collaboration. Two names that have given a lot to art with their ballads that have resisted commercial songs over the years. Their songs always make us nostalgic and "thirsty" for art in the full sense of the word. A collaboration between them would be a wish fulfilled for many Albanians.
7. Eugent Bushpepa and PINT
A brilliant combination! It would unite the voice and the pen, while both sides would unite art lovers in the squares. The lyrics of this duet would be known by heart and would resonate at concerts. The combination of the rap current that PINT possesses and the unique voice of Eugent Bushpepë is the duet that we don't know if it will happen, but we know we need it.
