Moderator and author, Ermal Peçi, has reacted publicly for the first time regarding the sudden suspension of his program, "E Diela Jonë", on RTSH. In a post on Instagram, he explains the reasons that led to the interruption of the program, describing it as an unreasonable decision and not based on legal criteria.
In his message, Peçi explains that the program was abruptly terminated by the current management of RTSH, without even respecting the necessary legal procedures. He describes the termination as an action that has no logical basis and violates the rights of employees and the public, who are the beneficiaries of a public program.
Peçi emphasized that the cancellation of the program "E Diela Jonë" occurred after two successful seasons, where the program had achieved a great impact, not only on screen, but also on social networks.
“However, amid strange decisions and unexplained influences, the program was discontinued. I want to emphasize: RTSH is not private property. It is a public institution, and every program there should exist for the public - not be closed mid-season,” he writes.
“I will not be silent and I will not stop. All those who try to hide the truth, let them remember that justice is still there. And it will speak. Much faster than they think. Transparency in a public media is not only necessary, but mandatory. And the public has the right to know the true reasons for every decision that affects the programs it follows, embraces, watches and clicks on.”
The case of Ermali Peçi is not the only one of its kind recently. There have also been other similar cases at RTSH, where shows have been interrupted and well-known moderators have suddenly left.
Elona Jaçellari spoke publicly about the sudden termination of the show "Jetë Shqiptare", accusing the director of RTSH, Aurora Polo, of an unfair and unclear decision, which came without warning and without sufficient explanation. Likewise, in an interview for "The Dalina Show", Alban Dudushi spoke about his departure from RTSH, criticizing the institution's internal management and describing it as an unreasonable and unclear decision, made by a person who had no knowledge of the work he was doing.
The uncertain and chaotic situation at RTSH is becoming increasingly apparent. The fact that well-known media figures are speaking out publicly about injustices and what they consider unreasonable decisions may indicate an environment filled with bureaucracy and unclear decision-making.
Anabel requested information from the RTSH management staff and director Aurora Polo on February 24, 2025, but we never received a response, despite having a legal obligation to do so based on Law No. 119/2014, "On Information Rights".
