Eagle-eyed Taylor Swift fans immediately noticed that Travis Kelce had unfollowed Ryan Reynolds on Instagram for a few days.
Ryan, however, seems not to have updated on this development yet and still follows the athlete on Instagram.
"They started following each other and liking each other's posts before the drama," one fan wrote, referring to Reynolds' wife, Blake Lively, and her entire legal battle with Justin Baldoni.
Swifties, Taylor Swift fans, first noticed that Reynolds and Kelce had been following each other since August 2023, shortly after the NFL player began his relationship with Swift.
Reynolds has been friends with Swift for years, as Lively and she have been close friends since 2015. Swift has even titled her songs after the names of the couple's children over the years.
Since her and Kelce's love story began, the couple have met twice in New York City with Lively and Reynolds.
However, earlier this year, rumors spread that Swift and Lively experienced a friendship breakdown amid all the actress' drama with her "It Ends With Us" co-star and director, Justin Baldoni.
Lively sued Baldoni in December 2024, and when he filed a counter-complaint the following month, he named Swift in his lawsuit. It included a message from Lively referring to Reynolds and Swift as her "dragons" who protected her in the industry.
It was reported that Swift, who is reportedly set to be subpoenaed in the lawsuit, felt "used" over the alleged message.
However, earlier this month, rumors circulated that Blake had issued a "sincere" apology to Swift and the couple had put their differences behind them. Kelce's latest move, however, seems to refute that claim.
