Pasi Netflix mundi HBO vitin e kaluar duke marrë më shumë nominime Emmy, HBO u rikthye sërish në vend të parë falë “Game of Thrones”. Platforma siguroi plot 32 nominime për “Game of Thrones” duke thyer rekordin e mëparshëm të mbajtur nga NYPD Blue (26 nominime në 1994-n).”Barry” u nominua 17 herë, ndërsa “Chernobyl” 19. HBO grumbulloi në total (saktësisht 137) gati tre herë më shumë nominime se rrjetet ABC, NBC, Fox dhe CBS të marra së bashku.

Emmy Awards do të transmetohet live në Fox nga Microsoft Theater në Los Angeles më 22 shtator.
