'I have a neurological disease': Sia discovers she is suffering

In a Twitter post, Sia revealed that she is suffering from a neurological disease. She added that she was facing chronic pain due to Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.

?Hey, I'm suffering from chronic pain, a neurological disease, Ehlers-Danlos, and to tell those suffering, whether physical or emotional, that I love them; continue forward. The pain is demoralizing, but you're not alone, ?she wrote on Twitter.

Chronic pain is pain that lasts longer than 12 weeks, while Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) is also associated with neurological problems due to muscle disorders.

Ehlers-Danlos syndrome is a group of disorders that affect the connective tissue of the skin, bones, blood vessels and other organs and tissues. Many people who have such a disease have soft, brittle, easily retractable skin while the bones are deformed.

It is unclear exactly what Sia is suffering from, as there are 13 types of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome associated with gold dissection (bleeding out of space), bone dislocation, scoliosis, osteoarthritis, etc.

The syndrome (studied by doctors Edvar Ehlers and Hendri-Alexandre Danlos) affects 1 in 5,000 people.
