The adopted girl who pretended to be a child gives an interview for the first

The girl at the center of the strangest and most incredible story of recent years will speak for the first time this week, in an interview with Dr. Phil.

Natalia Grace Barnett's interview will air on November 7.

In Ukraine, in 2010, Natalia was adopted by an American couple who are accused of abandoning her five years ago - allegedly leaving their only daughter at home and moving to Canada.

Michael Barnett, 43, and his wife, Kristine, 45, say they let him believe they were adopting an eight-year-old child, but they say Natalia is a sociopath and deceiver who pretends to be a child.

Natalia refutes these allegations during the interview. It has a form of spondyloepiphyseal nanism. Two years after the adoption, the family changed their legal age to Natalia, declaring her 22 years old.

Barnett told Good Morning America that most likely, Natalia is at least 33 years old. He also said Natalia tried to hurt his family.

"Natalia put translucent pins in the stairs upstairs so that when we went up, kicked and killed her," Barnett said. In another incident, Barnett said Natalia drew his wife to an electrical fence in an attempt to kill her.

Since the story started raging in early September, this is the first time Natalia has been pronounced.

In the promotional clip, Dr. Phil pushes Natalian to respond to her parents' allegations. She says she intends to tell her side of the story.

Natalia's adoptive parents are accused of neglect.
