The gold and diamond ring that Kobe Bryant gave to his mother 20 years ago was sold at auction for $ 209,080.
20 years ago, Kobe bought two identical rings for his parents, as a way to remember the first NBA championship. TMZ reports that Kobe's mother, Pamela Bryant, tried some time ago to sell some of Kobe's memories, but he disagreed and stopped her. The deceased basketball player then approved the sale and his parents sold six items - including rings - to a private collector, who is also a fan of LA Lakers. All items were sold for $ 280,000.
Now, the private collector went to Goldin Auction to see how much he could earn from selling the ring. The minimum value was $ 15,000 and after 20 bids, the ring sold for more than $ 206,000. Another auction is expected to sell the ring that Kobe gave to his father, who will probably catch a higher figure.
