Everything you need to know about mummification

In ancient Egypt it was believed that a man could be resurrected after his death. This is why they mummified the body so that the soul could have its own temple without having to possess other bodies.

The mummification process required at least 70 days. At that time the priests offered this service, so they should be well acquainted with the anatomy of one's body. The mummification process involves the removal of all internal organs from the human body and their drying. Once the organs dried, they were placed in small jars along with wine and flavoring. The lifeless body was salted and left for 70 days to absorb the remaining fluids. After 40 days, the body was covered with sand to absorb the fluids and maintain its body shape. After 70 days, the body was covered with bandages from head to toe.

It took several hundred meters of bandages to completely wrap the body. We also forgot to mention the fact that the heart was not detached from the body, as it was considered the center of intelligence. This whole process was done with great skill and precision so as not to alienate the human form but to preserve it.
