Singer and songwriter Sia has released the trailer for her first film, which will be released in 2021, "Music", starring Kate Hudson, Leslie Odom Jr. and Maddie Ziegler. Shortly after the trailer was released, Sia faced a lot of criticism because Maddie Ziegler portrays a character with autism while not being autistic in real life.

"Music" is a dramatic film that focuses on Music (Maddie Ziegler), a teenager with special needs, who is placed in the care of her sister, Zu (Kate Hudson) and her friend, Ebo (Leslie Odom Jr.). Recall that Maddie, American dancer, actress and model, gained international fame after participating in Sia songs, "Chandelier" and "Elastic Heart".

"It is such a shame that someone with such a colossal platform uses it to exclude actors with special needs and different problems," one person wrote on YouTube. "I've been a fan of your work over the years, so this is really disappointing." Sia on the other hand defended itself by saying that it has hired people with special needs and LGBTQ + members. To someone else, who said that there are so many autistic actors, including the commentator herself, Sia replied, "maybe you are just a bad actress."

"Music" will be released in 2021. The screenplay was written by Sia and the author of children's books, Dallas Clayton.
