Albania today starts vaccination against Covid-19: What is known so far

As Prime Minister Rama announced yesterday, today (January 11) the vaccination against Covid-19 starts.

Under the motto "Albania Smiles", the vaccination process will be carried out in the stadium "Air Albania" and it is expected that the first to be vaccinated this afternoon are doctors, as the most at risk against this virus.

This was also confirmed by the Minister of Health, Ogerta Manastirliu, who said that the vaccination will start first for the medical staff in Covid hospitals and then with the emergency and resuscitation staff.

According to her, the vaccination process will be every day for 8 to 10 hours and according to forecasts 60 people are expected to be vaccinated within 1 hour.

Upon completion, each of them should stay for 30 minutes in the stadium premises to see if there will be any complications from the vaccine. Pfizer vaccines against Covid-19 will be free and not mandatory, at least for now.
