How to get rid of toothache at night

Toothaches are horrible, especially at night when the chance of clearing the mind of the pain is almost 0. However, there are some methods to reduce the toothache until it is time to meet with the dentist.

1. Use of sedatives

At night, you can use an ibuprofen, Tylenol to keep severe pain under control, but remember to take the recommended dose in their packaging.

2. Cold compresses

Take some ice and place it inside a towel. Next approach the area of ??the cheeks where you feel pain and hold for a while. Cold compresses will help soothe the pain and enable you to fall asleep more easily. Repeat this for 15-20 minutes once every few hours.

3. Raising the head

By raising your head higher than usual at night (with two or more pillows) you can sleep more peacefully and with less pain.

4. Rinse with water and salt

Salt water functions as a natural antibacterial, so in addition to helping the tooth not become infected, it reduces pain.

5. Mint tea

A mint tea would temporarily help you get rid of toothache at night. The mint leaf has in its composition antibacterial and antioxidant properties. Menthol also has the ability to relieve and numb pain in sensitive areas.

6. Cloves

No wonder you have been advised to keep a clove if you have toothache. Put the ground cloves in water until it takes the form of a paste. Next place it on the tooth and hold it there until you feel the pain being reduced. This method is not advisable for children, as they can unknowingly swallow the paste created with cloves.

7. Garlic

Thanks to its antibacterial properties, garlic has the power to kill bacteria inside the mouth and consequently reduces the pain created. Simply chewing a clove of garlic or placing it near the sore tooth will make you feel less pain. Since the taste and aroma of garlic is heavy for some people, this method is not considered a solution for everyone.
