Should I keep sunscreen in the fridge? Yes and no

With the summer heat, many people may think of storing spf cream in the fridge. So when you apply and reapply it, you feel along with the cream, also the freshness or the cold. But should it? It depends.

First of all, you should know that there is a safe option: Put it in the fridge just before you use it. The lotion will feel super refreshing and you will not have left the cream on all day at low temperature.

Second, it is suggested that sunscreens stay at a room temperature, neither in extreme heat nor in cold. The ideal would be a "cosmetic refrigerator", because through it, you can control the temperature yourself.

If you decide to just put it in the fridge of the house, at least be a little strategic: Place a door of the fridge and not too deep, where it can be even colder. Also, do not leave it in the fridge for days!

On the other hand, even extremely hot environments (like a car that is baked in the sun) can make sunscreen less effective - or even completely ineffective.

Lastly, make sure you always read the back of your creams to check the manufacturer's instructions. Either way, avoid storing sunscreen wherever it is too hot or vice versa.

Where else should you not keep the SPF:

- In the car

- In a hot bag

- In toilet
