The rapper said that when Offset suggested the name Wave, she agreed immediately.

Wave came to life in September. Cardi, whose real name is Belcalis Almánzar, has a daughter with Offset, Culture, 3 years old. The rapper, whose real name is Kiari Cephus, has three other children from previous relationships: Jordan, 12, Kody, 7, and Kalea, 7.

Cardi and Offset were secretly married in 2017 and split briefly in 2020.
