Ashton Kutcher revealed that an autoimmune disorder left him without the ability to see, hear or walk.

"Two years ago, I had this weird, super rare form of vasculitis that messed up my vision, my hearing, knocked out my whole balance," Kutcher, 44, said in a teaser for the reality show "Running Wild with Bear Grylls: The Challenge".

The actor said it took him about a year to rebuild any losses.

"It's true that we don't appreciate something until it's gone. I didn't know if I'd ever be able to see, hear or walk again. I'm lucky to be alive."

Now fully recovered from his horrific health scare, the No Strings Attached actor said he doesn't let any challenge stand in his way of success.

"The moment you start seeing your obstacles as things that were created for you, to give you what you need, that's when life starts to look fun, right?" said Kutcher, who has two children with wife Mila Kunis. "You start surfing over your problems instead of living under them."

Interesting and hopeful approach to life's difficulties, which are apparently inevitable, even if you are famous, successful and rich.
