Maurizio Costanzo, the Italian television personality, has passed away at the age of 84.

Costanzo wrote dozens of radio and television programs, theatrical comedies and books. He achieved great popularity in 1976, hosting the show "Bontà loro" on Rai.

But his name was more associated with the "Maurizio Costanzo show" on Mediaset. Among his most popular programs was "Buona domenica".

Costanzo was married to Maria De Filippi since 1995. They are the parents of a son, whom they adopted.
